Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your agreed location in Masaka. Meet your professional driver-guide and embark on a scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's second-largest and one of its most diverse national parks, renowned for its abundant wildlife and spectacular landscapes.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch (depending on your arrival time) before heading to the Kazinga Channel for an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is famous for having one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. As you cruise along the channel, you'll have excellent opportunities to observe large herds of elephants and buffaloes cooling off at the water's edge, pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, monitor lizards, and an incredible variety of birdlife, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers.

Later in the evening, set out on an exciting game drive through the park's savannah plains in search of iconic African wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and numerous antelope species as they roam freely in their natural habitat.

After an eventful day of wildlife viewing, proceed to your lodge for check-in. Enjoy a delicious dinner and relax as you prepare for the next day's adventure with an overnight stay in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, located in southwestern Uganda. Known as the "Place of Many Little Birds," Lake Bunyonyi is one of Africa's most beautiful and deepest lakes, surrounded by lush terraced hills and dotted with 29 picturesque islands.

Upon arrival, embark on a relaxing boat cruise across the tranquil waters of the lake, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views and learn about the fascinating history of some of the islands, including the famous Punishment Island (Akampene).

Later, visit the nearby local communities, including the Batwa people, the original inhabitants of the Bwindi Forest. Experience their rich cultural heritage through traditional music, dance, storytelling, and learn about their unique way of life before they were relocated from the forest.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Lake Bunyonyi.

After an early breakfast at your lodge on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, bid farewell to Uganda and begin your journey to Lake Kivu in western Rwanda. The drive takes you through the breathtaking highlands of southwestern Uganda before crossing the border at Cyanika in Kisoro.

After completing the border formalities, continue into Rwanda, famously known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of rolling green hills, neatly terraced farms, rural villages, tea plantations, and the picturesque countryside that makes Rwanda one of Africa's most scenic destinations. Several stopovers will be made to allow you to stretch your legs, take photographs, and admire the beautiful landscapes.

Arrive in Karongi, a charming lakeside town on the shores of Lake Kivu, Rwanda's largest freshwater lake. The lake is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, lush islands, and tranquil atmosphere. After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of the evening relaxing while enjoying panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding hills.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge before settling in for an overnight stay in preparation for the next day's Lake Kivu adventure.

After an early breakfast, set out for a memorable boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Kivu, Rwanda's largest freshwater lake. Cruise across its calm waters while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding hills and lush islands. Visit some of the lake's famous islands, including Monkey Island, home to playful vervet monkeys, and Napoleon Island, named after its distinctive shape and known for its colony of fruit bats. Along the way, you'll also experience local fishing villages and witness the unique sight of swimming cows, a fascinating tradition practiced by local communities.

After the boat cruise, depart for Kigali, Rwanda's vibrant and remarkably clean capital city. Upon arrival, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you'll gain a deeper understanding of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and Rwanda's inspiring journey of healing, reconciliation, and national unity. If time permits, enjoy a brief city tour, exploring some of Kigali's modern neighborhoods, local markets, and cultural landmarks.

Later, check in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Kigali.

After breakfast, enjoy a final exploration of Kigali, one of Africa's cleanest and most vibrant cities. Depending on your schedule, visit some of the city's popular attractions, including local craft markets, art galleries, and cultural landmarks, offering an opportunity to purchase souvenirs and experience Rwanda's rich culture.

Later, begin your return journey to Masaka, Uganda, traveling through the scenic countryside of Rwanda and crossing the Gatuna Border into Uganda. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the rolling hills, terraced landscapes, and rural communities that characterize both countries.
